Terms & Conditions
The rules that keep Write4Pay a fair, honest place for writers and readers.
Last updated · February 2026
Welcome to Write4Pay. By accessing or using the Write4Pay website, mobile web experience, or any related service (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Write4Pay is a publishing platform where anyone can share their writing for free, readers can read for free, and writers can opt in to a paid Partner Program to receive tips and direct payouts from their readers. When we say “we,” “us,” or “Write4Pay,” we mean the operators of the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and read on Write4Pay. To publish content, join the Partner Program, receive tips, or otherwise receive money through the Service you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher) and legally able to enter a binding contract.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide during sign-up and for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your sign-in email and any authentication codes confidential. If you believe someone has accessed your account without your permission, contact us immediately at support@write4pay.com.
4. Your content and licence to Write4Pay
You retain all ownership of the writing, comments, images and other material you publish or submit on the Service (“Your Content”). By publishing Your Content on Write4Pay you grant Write4Pay a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for formatting, and communicate Your Content to readers strictly for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. This licence continues for as long as Your Content is available on the Service and terminates when you delete it, except for reasonable operational copies (backups, logs, cached copies at third parties) that may persist for a limited period.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that publishing it on Write4Pay does not violate anyone else’s rights or any applicable law.
5. What you may not publish
You agree not to use the Service to publish or share content that:
- infringes intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights;
- is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or threatening;
- sexualises minors or contains child sexual abuse material;
- incites violence, self-harm, or hatred against protected groups;
- contains malware, phishing, or fraudulent solicitations;
- impersonates another person or organisation.
We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe violate these rules.
6. Partner Program, payouts, and tips
Reading Write4Pay is free. Publishing is free. Writers who wish to receive tips and direct payouts can join our Partner Program for a subscription fee (currently US$5.00 per month or US$50.00 per year, billed through Stripe, subject to change on 30 days’ notice).
Tips are sent by readers directly to writers through the writer’s own PayPal.me link. Write4Pay is not a party to any tip transaction, does not receive, hold, or transmit tipped funds, and does not guarantee that tips will be sent, received, or refunded. Your ability to receive tips depends on your PayPal account and PayPal’s own terms. Sponsorships and other supported payment flows are processed by third-party providers (currently Stripe) whose terms apply in addition to ours.
All payments are inclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for reporting and paying any income, sales, or other taxes owed on money you receive through the Service.
7. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel your Partner Program subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing; the paid period continues until the end of the billing cycle. Except where required by law, Partner Program subscription fees are non-refundable. Tips sent through PayPal are handled by PayPal and are not refundable by Write4Pay.
8. Ownership of the Service
Write4Pay and its logos, look-and-feel, source code, and other original materials are the property of Write4Pay and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using Write4Pay at any time and delete your account from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate your account, or remove Your Content, if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we retire the Service. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, indemnity, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Write4Pay disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content is accurate, complete, or reliable.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Write4Pay be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Write4Pay in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) US$100.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Write4Pay harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service, or (c) your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose laws grant additional rights, those rights are preserved.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect 14 days after we post them on the Service and/or send a notice to your account email. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
